We give not solely because we want to be blessed, though the Bible assures us of same, but more importantly, generous giving is as a result of our relationship with God, not a way to earn it. We don’t give in order to gain God’s love, but rather because we have been loved.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as
generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you
only what comes from your hand. 1 Chronicles 29:14
